France! France! France!

Bonjour!
Today was market day in Nay, so basically the entire city was converted into one giant open air market. Naturally, instead of going to classes this morning we went to the market! It was great, we were able to explore the city of Nay, and munch on fresh delicious produce at the same time. The colors and the people were fantastic, so of course I spent most of the time taking pictures. I spent majority of my film on the old men of Nay, because their faces are incredibly expressive, and they always seem to be carrying a baguette! I also bought many gifts for you guys in the market, so get excited. Maria and I also found this fantistic little gelato shop, and we had the best orange and grapefruit gelato.

Living with the Vogels is also great. They feed me non-stop, and I am constantly trying new delicious cheeses. It does not make any sense though, they are always eating and then sitting down and watching tv, and yet they are all so thin! I don't understand it at all! Rachel and I decided that it must be something in their water.

Je t'embrasse,
Alex

  1. Hi Alex! The landscape & architecture is incredible--looks like Avignon-
yes? Sounds like the fresh foods are what keeps them all thin-- no preservatives or altered food! Does the water taste better than all the bottled stuff we drink here? Awesome photos, guessing from Zach. A little close to the fast running river, though! Hope your B & W photos continue on your theme of interesting faces! Lauren says hi and hopes you are having fun! 2. We love the pictures, please post more! I hope your weather improves, but the forecast is sketchy (especially for Wednesday). Stay dry and be safe! Love you, Dad.
